Entering Arkansas along southbound I-55.  Photo taken June 29, 2004.
Southbound exit to AR 150.  Photo taken June 29, 2004.
At the exit to AR 14, a temporary crossover still remained in the median from earlier pavement reconstruction projects.  AHTD has gone a long ways towards improving pavement conditions along I-55.  Photo taken June 29, 2004.
Southbound signage at the US 63/AR 77 interchange.  US 63 north of here to I-55 is the Future I-555 corridor.  AR 77 should also be signed as US 61 north here.  Furthermore, neither US 61 nor US 63 are signed with I-55 south of this interchange.  Photo taken June 29, 2004.
Crittendon CR 4 is one of the few county routes signed from Interstate guide signage in Arkansas.  Photo taken June 29, 2004.
Southbound exit to US 64 West.  As with US 61 and US 63, the US 64 multiplex with I-55 is not signed.  Photo taken June 29, 2004.
I-55 meets I-40 in West Memphis, including a short duplex segment.  Photo taken June 29, 2004.
Prior to actually merging with eastbound I-40, southbound I-55 has an exit to AR 77 and the heavily commercialized frontage road system along the I-40/55 duplex.  Photo taken in December, 1998.
Eastbound I-40/I-55 in West Memphis, AR, shortly before they split.  The I-40/I-55 duplex is 3 lanes each way, but has very heavy traffic and really needs improvement.  Photo taken June 29, 2004.
Here's the actual I-40/I-55 split  Photo taken June 29, 2004.
