Miscellaneous Mississippi State Highway Scenes

All photographs were taken by the webmaster.  Photos are organized by route number.

Northbound on MS 7 at Yalobusha CR 156.  Yalobusha County is one of a handful of Mississippi counties that use the blue pentagon to mark their county roads, instead of the more common street sign used in most of Mississippi.
Along the MS 7/MS 315 duplex, just north of MS 32 on the Water Valley bypass.
Eastbound MS 12 at Spring St in Starkville.  Ahead is a partial interchange leading into the Mississippi State University campus grounds.
An *OLD* Business MS 12 shield within the city of Kosciusko.
On the short MS 13/MS 481 duplex near Morton.  The "Divided Hwy Ahead" refers to a short section of 4-lane road at the intersection with US 80.
Westbound on MS 14, at the eastern junction with MS 429 southwest of Kosciusko.
Westbound on MS 16 at the MS 35 intersection in Carthage.
MS 16 and MS 495 have a short duplex in western Kemper County.
Traveling on MS 19 North through Philadelphia.  The gas prices at the station on the left should give a good indication of how long ago this photo was taken.
South(west)bound on the MS 25 Carthage bypass.  At the time, this was one of the few places in Mississippi where one would see Interstate-grade signage on a non-Interstate highway.  Since then, Interstate-grade signage has become somewhat more common.
Eastbound MS 50 at the US 82 interchange in eastern Columbus.  Note the "TO" banner on the trailblazer for MS 50 West.  MS 50 is generally not signed along US 82 and it's implied that the route duplexes with both US 82 and US 45 through Columbus.
Northbound on MS 63, where old MS 63 (no longer part of the state highway system) splits off at the start of the Lucedale bypass.
Further north on the MS 63 bypass, at the exit to MS 26.
One mile advance guide signage for US 98.  Currently the 4-lane MS 63 ends at US 98, with MS 63 duplexing with US 98 back to its older routing.
Eastbound MS 76 reassurance shield on the Pontotoc bypass, with an "Appalachian Highway" banner posted above.

Two views through a glaring windshield, but these photos show both the old and the newer bridges across the Chickasawhay River on MS 513 in Enterprise.  I'm not sure why part of the old bridge was allowed to remain standing.
An odd "Speed Limit 18" sign found on the University of Mississippi campus in Oxford.
