Snow in Meridian...??

In late Jaunary, 2000, during my time stationed at NAS Meridian, we had one late evening which saw 1.5" of a mix of ice pellets (sleet) and snow falling.  Most of it fell after sunset, and I took the opportunity to snap the following photos.  These pictures were taken shortly before midnight:

Here's Sanders (left, with galsses) and Wojcik (right, with camouflage pants on), two guys I worked with at NTMOD Meridian, playing with a football out in the snow.

This view shows the accumulation that we'd had up through that point.

More accumulation.  A few hours after I took this picture, most of the snow was gone because the snow/sleet had changed over to a cold rain.
